What exactly is an eVTOL?

The acronym stands for “Electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing.” Imagine a cross between a helicopter and a giant drone, but much quieter, safer, and more sustainable.

Delta and United Airlines have already invested millions to integrate these taxis into their bookings. Soon, your plane ticket could include pickup at a vertiport near your home.

The remaining challenges

Although the technology is ready, infrastructure and regulation are the final hurdles.
